Kogan Energy Terms & Conditions - FIRST Membership

To be eligible for the 12 months free FIRST membership (FIRST Membership 12-month Free Trial):

  • you must not have completed an annual FIRST membership (free or paid) in the 6 months prior to signing up with Kogan Energy
  • you must sign up for FIRST membership, and the premises you switch must be in VIC, NSW, SA, or south east Queensland, and
  • the market contract you enter must be your first electricity market contract with Kogan Energy (for clarity, if you’ve previously been a customer with Kogan Energy, you won’t be eligible for the FIRST Membership 12-month Free Trial if you switch back – you also won’t be eligible for more than one FIRST Membership 12-month Free Trial if you switch more than one site through this promotion).

The FIRST Membership 12-month Free Trial will start when you successfully sign up for FIRST membership and switch to Kogan Energy.

You may cancel your FIRST Membership for free at any time during the FIRST Membership 12-month Free Trial. If you don’t cancel your membership during the FIRST Membership 12-month Free Trial, you’ll automatically be charged the FIRST membership fee for the next 12 months. The current annual membership fee is $129 (incl. GST). This amount may change. Full Kogan FIRST Terms and Conditions are available here.

The sign-up credit is worth $100 (incl. GST) (Sign-up Credit). To be eligible for the Sign-up Credit:

  • you must have a current annual FIRST membership
  • the premises you switch must be in VIC, NSW, SA, or south east Queensland, and
  • the market contract you enter must be your first electricity market contract with Kogan Energy (for clarity, if you’ve previously been a customer with Kogan Energy, you won’t receive the Sign-up Credit If you switch back to Kogan Energy – you also won’t receive the Sign-up Credit for more than one site, if you switch more than one site through this promotion).

You’ll get the Sign-up Credit as an offset against the charges on your first electricity bill. If the charges on your first electricity bill are less than the Sign-up Credit, we’ll carry over the balance of the Sign-up Credit to your next bill.

If your electricity market contract ends before you’ve incurred charges to the value of the Sign-up Credit, you’ll forfeit the balance of the Sign-up Credit – we won’t pay the balance as a refund. The Sign-up Credit isn’t transferable or redeemable for cash or available with any other offer.
